Retirement Portfolio Net Worth - As of April 2, 2026
The goal:
1. Retirement Assets of $4,000,000
2. Annual Passive Income of $160,000 (rental income + dividends combined)
We are currently mortgage free but won’t be including the value of our principal residence or cottage as we have no plans to sell either. We have also omitted the value of our workplace defined benefit pension plans and children’s RESP.
COMMENTARY:
The PE of the S&P is at historical highs which is usually an indicator of flat or negative returns over the next 12 months. With that in mind my plan for 2026 is to allocate a greater percentage of our investable income towards mortgage debt repayment.
