Retirement Portfolio Net Worth - as of Sept3 -2019
The goal is a retirement portfolio net worth of $1,000,000 and an annual passive income of $40,000. We are currently mortgage free but won’t be including the value of our principal residence or cottage as we have no plans to sell either. We have also omitted the value of our workplace defined benefit pension plans and our children’s RESP. We didn't make any contributions in Aug however, we did spend approx nine thousand on one of the rentals. I expect to spent another eight thousand in Sept on the same rental. This sounds like a lot of money but will greatly increase the resale of this unit. I'll post a revised price estimate once all the renovations are complete. Our stock portfolio declined approx. 2.5% this month but nothing was purchased or sold. I am a very long term investor so these small declines will be just a blip on the 20 year charts.
