Retirement Portfolio Net Worth - As of Aug27-2020
The goal is a retirement portfolio net worth of $1,000,000 and an annual passive income of $40,000. We are currently mortgage free but won’t be including the value of our principal residence or cottage as we have no plans to sell either. We have also omitted the value of our workplace defined benefit pension plans and our children’s RESP. August was a pretty quiet month for the portfolio. I didn't make any new contributions and didn't have to spend anything on the rentals. It was nice to see the portfolio creep back up over the half a million dollar mark though. Real estate has also appreciated quite a bit in our area but for now I'm going to leave the value of rental properties as they are.
