Retirement Portfolio Net Worth - As of Oct3- 2022

 The goal:

1. Retirement Equity Portfolio of $1,000,000
2. Rental Portfolio Value of $1,200,000
3. Annual Passive Income of $60,000 (rental income + dividends combined)

We are currently mortgage free but won’t be including the value of our principal residence or cottage as we have no plans to sell either. We have also omitted the value of our workplace defined benefit pension plans and children’s RESP.

COMMENTARY:
September was a rough month mainly due to the rapidly deteriorating stock markets. Due to rapidly rising interest rates and deteriorating economic data it looks like we're surely headed for a recession. The question remains will the recession be shallow and brief or sharp and prolonged. Either way I will be staying 100% investing in equities and will adding to my positions in the coming months. The best time to buy has always been when things appear grim.
