Retirement Portfolio Net Worth - As of July31-2020

The goal is a retirement portfolio net worth of $1,000,000 and an annual passive income of $40,000. We are currently mortgage free but won’t be including the value of our principal residence or cottage as we have no plans to sell either. We have also omitted the value of our workplace defined benefit pension plans and our children’s RESP.

Overall July was a pretty good month. I transferred $4100 to our retirement accounts and only spent approx $280 for a new lawn mower for one of the rentals. As far as the market goes I purchased a half position in Algonquin Power and Utilities (AQN).It's also the first month since February where our retirement assets exceeded the 1 million dollar mark. Even though it's not a huge increase from last month it's a psychological boost to see seven figures again.
