Retirement Portfolio Net Worth - as of Dec2-2019

The goal is a retirement portfolio net worth of $1,000,000 and an annual passive income of $40,000. We are currently mortgage free but won’t be including the value of our principal residence or cottage as we have no plans to sell either. We have also omitted the value of our workplace defined benefit pension plans and our children’s RESP.

November was a really quiet month. I didn't make any portfolio purchases and only had to spend approx. $1000 on the rentals. I've spent a significant amount of money this year on rental house improvements. Of the 5 rental units that I own 4 of them are now renovated. The fifth unit does require some "sprucing up" but I estimate that it'll cost less than $3,000 for all the improvements. The timing of that renovation is dependent on when the current tenants move out (hopefully not for years)...
