Retirement Portfolio Net Worth - as of Nov4-2019

The goal is a retirement portfolio net worth of $1,000,000 and an annual passive income of $40,000. We are currently mortgage free but won’t be including the value of our principal residence or cottage as we have no plans to sell either. We have also omitted the value of our workplace defined benefit pension plans and our children’s RESP.

October was a busy month for us. We contributed another $1,000 to our kids education savings plan (which isn't reflected in the below numbers). I was also able to sneak $200 into our retirement account but the bulk of my investable cash ($4,300) was spent on the final payment for an exterior renovation of one of the rentals. In total I spent about $17,000 out of pocket to have all renovations done. However, I'm glad to report that the renovation is complete and I've adjusted the value of rental #2 below I didn't have a realtor or appraiser in so the adjusted selling price is just my best guess.

This is also the first month that our retirement assets exceeded 1 million and our retirement portfolio networth just squeaked above 600k.
