Retirement Portfolio Net Worth - as of July 2 -2019

The goal is a retirement portfolio net worth of $1,000,000 and an annual passive income of $40,000. We are currently mortgage free but won’t be including the value of our principal residence or cottage as we have no plans to sell either. We have also omitted the value of our workplace defined benefit pension plans and our children’s RESP.

June was another boring month for us. I spent some time and money on our cottage (which is not included in our "retirement fund") but only added $300 to our retirement fund. Despite the small contribution our retirement fund was up $12,015 due to stock market gains. Of course all these gains could be wiped out next month as we have 100% of the fund invested in equities.
