Retirement Portfolio Net Worth - as of April 30 -2019

The goal is a retirement portfolio net worth of $1,000,000 and an annual passive income of $40,000. We are currently mortgage free but won’t be including the value of our principal residence or cottage as we have no plans to sell either. We have also omitted the value of our workplace defined benefit pension plans and our children’s RESP.

Well we obviously haven't been great at saving this year as our year to date contributions are a grand total of zero. However, since January we have paid off $4,231 of our investment loans so in effect we have basically contributed that amount so far. I have also been saving for a fairly expensive renovation at one of the rental units and our savings accounts are not reflected in the below numbers. After the renovations are complete I'll be updating the selling price of the renovated property.
